Remembering Dr. Sean Cleary

The IHPBA is deeply saddened by the sudden passing of Dr. Sean Cleary on August 10, 2025.

Sean was an exceptional surgeon, a visionary leader, and above all, a generous and caring human being. His contributions to the global HPB Community reached far beyond his surgical skill, he inspired, mentored, and brought people together, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege to work with him.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to his wife Janice, his sons Christian and Owen, and all who knew and loved him.
