| Additional Comments | We offer a combined Clinical / Research fellowship in the busiest HPB service in Israel. The first year is dedicated mainly to basic research in our affiliated molecular biology lab - focusing on mechanisms of liver regeneration, as well as cancer and transplant immunology. Clinical and translational research in HPB surgery will also be performed during the first year of fellowship. Some exposure to clinical aspects of HPB surgery, both on the floor and in the OR will start towards the end of the first year. The second year of fellowship will be dedicated to all clinical aspects of HPB surgery. The second year fellow will be heavily involved in all HPB surgeries and patient care on the floor. Training in both open and minimally invasive HPB and upper GI surgery will be provided. Training in kidney transplantation is optional.
